Where to start

Pick the entry point that matches your situation.

You do not have to work top to bottom. Pick the route below that sounds like you, fix that block first, then come back for the rest. Progress saves automatically.

  1. 01
No profile yet · brand new business
    Start at Eligibility & Verification

Do not create anything until you know you qualify and how verification works. Profiles built on shortcuts get suspended, sometimes years later.

  2. 02
Profile exists · not ranking or converting
    Start at Core Business Information

Primary category, name, pin and service areas carry most of the ranking weight. Fix these before touching posts, photos or anything cosmetic.

  3. 03
Ranking fine · phone not ringing
    Start at Reviews & Reputation

Visibility without conversion is a review problem more often than anything else. Count, recency, rating and your replies decide who gets the call.

  4. 04
Suspended, or scared of being suspended
    Start at Stay Suspension-Safe

Almost every suspension we reinstate traces back to five tripwires. Check them now, on your terms, before Google checks them for you.

01

Eligibility & Verification

0%

Everything downstream depends on getting this block right. A profile that should never have existed, or was verified with shortcuts, is a profile Google eventually suspends.

Before You Create Anything

  • Confirm your business actually qualifies for a profile Critical
  • Add or claim your Business Profile (never create a duplicate) Critical
  • Verify the profile with the method Google offers you Critical
  • Prepare properly before attempting video verification High

Business Type

  • Set up correctly as storefront, service-area or hybrid Critical
02

Core Business Information

0%

This block is what Google matches against every local search. It has to be accurate, complete and consistent with your website and the rest of the web.

Name, Categories & Location

  • Use your exact real-world business name, nothing added Critical
  • Choose one accurate primary category Critical
  • Add relevant additional categories only High
  • Enter an accurate address and check the map pin Critical
  • Set realistic service areas High

Hours & Contact

  • Keep business hours accurate High
  • Add special hours and More hours sets Medium
  • Use a local phone number High
  • Link your website with UTM tracking parameters High
03

Profile Content & Assets

0%

A complete profile converts. Description, services, products, photos: this is what a customer scans in the ten seconds before choosing you or the listing below you.

Description & Services

  • Write a full business description (up to 750 characters) High
  • Add every service you offer, with descriptions High
  • Use the products section, even as a service business High
  • Set every attribute that genuinely applies Medium

Photos, Videos & Extras

  • Upload real, high-resolution photos on a schedule Critical
  • Add short videos Medium
  • Add your opening date Medium
  • Link your social media profiles Medium
04

Reviews & Reputation

0%

Review count, velocity, rating and your replies: the strongest conversion levers on the profile, and heavily weighted for ranking. Also the easiest place to break the rules without knowing.

Getting Reviews

  • Run a system that asks for reviews continuously Critical
  • Share your direct review link everywhere High

Managing Reviews

  • Reply to every review, fast High
  • Report reviews that violate policy Medium
  • Seed and monitor the Q&A section Medium
05

Ongoing Activity & Measurement

0%

A profile is not a set-and-forget listing. The businesses that win the Local Pack treat it like a channel: publish, measure, adjust.

Stay Active

  • Publish posts on a regular cadence Medium
  • Turn on bookings if you take appointments Medium

Measure Honestly

  • Read the performance insights monthly Medium
  • Track map rankings with a geogrid tool, not gut feel High
06

Stay Suspension-Safe

0%

We reinstate suspended profiles for a living, 230 of the 234 cases we have taken have come back. Almost every one traces back to an item in this section. Read it before you need it.

Know the Tripwires

  • Read the guidelines that actually get profiles suspended Critical
  • Never keyword-stuff the business name field Critical
  • No virtual offices, PO boxes or borrowed addresses Critical
  • Make profile edits carefully, one at a time High

If It Happens

  • If suspended: appeal once, properly, with evidence Critical

UnderbuiltSolidOptimised
  1. Under 50%
    Profile underbuilt

Your profile is leaving calls on the table.

The fundamentals are missing and every one of them is a customer choosing the listing above yours. We build and manage profiles end to end: categories, content, reviews, posts, geogrid tracking.

  2. 50–79%
Fundamentals holding · strategy layer missing

The profile is fine. The local strategy is not.

At this score the profile itself is rarely the bottleneck. Citations, website relevance, reviews velocity and links decide who owns the Local Pack. That is Local SEO, not profile tweaking.

  3. 80% and above
    Optimised profile · marginal-gains territory

Skip the funnel. Book a working call.

Your profile is doing the work. At this level the conversation is about competitor displacement, review velocity and expanding into neighbouring suburbs without tripping the guidelines.

For a profile that already exists, 60 to 90 minutes to work through honestly. A brand-new profile takes longer because verification has its own timeline, video verification reviews alone can take up to five business days on Google's side. Progress saves to your browser, so you can leave and come back.

Yes. Every checkpoint links to the relevant page on support.google.com (or Google's own campaign URL builder for the UTM item). We re-verify the links when Google reshuffles its help centre, which it does regularly. If you find a dead one, tell us and we will fix it.

Because reinstating suspended profiles is one of our core services and almost every case we take traces back to a handful of avoidable tripwires: keyword-stuffed names, ineligible addresses and wrong business-type setup. It is much cheaper to check five items now than to lose your profile for weeks.

It gets you a profile that can compete, which is the prerequisite. Local Pack rankings also depend on proximity, reviews, your website's local relevance and citations. That is why the outcome panel routes a high-scoring profile toward Local SEO strategy rather than more profile tweaking.

No. Buying reviews, incentivising them, or filtering so only happy customers get asked (review gating) all violate Google's policies and can get every review stripped from the profile. The only compliant system is asking every customer, consistently, and making it easy.

Stop editing, fix every guideline breach, gather evidence (business registration, a recent utility bill, relevant licences, lease and signage photos if you have a storefront) and lodge one strong appeal through Google's official process. Or hand it to us: we have reinstated 230 of 234 profiles, and it is reinstated or refunded.

Every item applies per location. Each location needs its own verified profile, own local phone number, own photos and its own review stream. Never try to cover a second city with a virtual office, that is a suspension case we see over and over.
